SOIL MECHANICS ZERO TO HERO

Origin of Soil: The development of soil is initiated by the physical and chemical disintegration of rocks that is expos ca to the earth’s surface that is under the action of the atmospheric elements and the action of water percolating down the surface.

All soils contain mineral particles, organic matter, water and air. The combinations of these determine the soil’s properties – its texture, structure, porosity, chemistry and colour. Soil is made up of different-sized particles.

Soils with smaller particles (silt and clay) have a larger surface area than those with larger sand particles, and a large surface area allows a soil to hold more water. In other words, a soil with a high percentage of silt and clay particles, which describes fine soil, has a higher water-holding capacity.

The Objective of “Bridge To Success” provides best content source to all technical students who are preparing for GATE | ESE | BPSC | UPPSC | MPPSC | RPSC and other states public service commission | ssc je & state je | dmrc | lmrc | jmrc | and other competitive exams. we hardly work with concept to easy for understanding to students and easy to learn & retain on their mind. to better serve for the evolving needs of the many interested students whose dream to earn government engineering jobs.
